THE PUT-ONS / DEADBEAT SINATRA
"Seven And Seven"
cd
(br-023)

The idea of this split is simple, get two great bands that have 6 kick ass tracks, have each of them throw in a cover of a band that has been a influence on them and BANG ! Release a power filled, rockin' split cd. THE PUT-ONS are a rough & rocking alternative to the ultra-wussy indie sap that usually passes for “power pop” these days. These guys have thrown together 7 gems of pure "Rock n' Roll" with a incredible edge that has been missing in punk rock over the last few years. They included their take on the GENERATION X track "From The Heart"as their influential cover. The guys formed in the summer of 2000 in Orange County, California and have been compared to THE CLASH, BUZZCOCKS, GENERATION X, THE JAM, THE ONLY ONES, and 20/20. The Put-Ons are recommended if you are a fan of late 70’s era American and British Pop Punk bands. On the other side of the coin is DEADBEAT SINATRA, they are a tight knit unit that have many different styles of influence, ranging from hardcore to glam to doo-wop and so on. There is one thing that you can count on to be the same everytime, it is the intensity and energy of their songs and live shows (If you have not yet experienced this, it is highly recommended). Along with their 6 orignal power filled tracks is a cover of the RAMONES Classic "Chinese Rock". Fans of the RAMONES, SOCIAL DISTORTION, X, & FEAR should definetly take the time to check these guys out.
