CUT SHALLOW
"Watch It Cave In"
cd
(br-030)

CUT SHALLOW formed in the spring of 2003 and have taken the rock world by storm. Within less than a year the guys have been included on various compilations along side such nationally known acts as ANTI-FLAG, TRAVOLTAS, RISE AGAINST, LAGWAGON, THE QUEERS, FALL OUT BOY, & THE LONELY KINGS. They've played an abundance of shows to thousands of kids and have watch their fan base grow at alarming speeds. They combine the raw sound of rock and melody while maintaining the angst and edge of good ole' punk rock music. "Watch It Cave In" is seven tracks of raw, intense, and honest rock n' roll (something that has been lacking in recent years). A cd that isn't too overproduced and perfected by today's "computer" geeks allows Cut Shallow to capture a relentless rock attack similiar to that of JAWBREAKER and ALL. While all the band members have spent time in previous bands they never seemed to find the right fit....until now. "Our focus is to write the best songs we can, have fun doing it and to reach as many fans with our music as possible. We feel we are a really well balanced and tightly knit unit. Our record sounds like we do live and that's something we are very proud of, not everyone can say that........Sky's the limit now."

REVIEW:
"Watch it blow up is more appropriate 'cause these guys have exploded out of the box with this 7 song EP of Cali style punk rock. I think this is a debut release for the band and it's a fucking good one at that. Clear production and power pop-punk rhythms with good vocals pretty much sum up Cut Shallow. All this and they're a three piece to boot. I liked the whole Cd as you can play it all the way through every time. The label says that if you like ALL or Jawbreaker you'll dig Cut Shallow. I say if you like good punk with a touch of h/c you'll like 'em. Props to Basement Records for keeping the good releases coming."
