In related BULLET TREATMENT news "The Mistake" was recently given a great review in KERRANG MAGAZINE, check it out:

"LA PUNK SUPERGROUP HIT THE BULLSEYE WITH SECOND FULL LENGTH" Using a revolvnig line-up for the seven years since their inception, Bullet Treatment - counting members of Suicidal Tendencies and The Drips among their 20 plus contributors - only record during the rare windows of time when their day jobs permit. For their latest outing, The Bronx's frontman Matt Caughthran has been called foward to carry out vocal duties and his bile-spitting howls provide the vicious edge to a sound that leans further towards Black Flag's breakneck hardcore then the Bronx's rock n' roll swagger. Highlights like Pointless Conversation and Grindstone are masterful slabs of no frills punk at its most exhilarating." KKKK

“Killing California hands out an blend of dirty whiskey rock that burns on its way down your throat. Dig way down deep inside and you’ll find that this is essentially rough-and-tumble rock-n-roll in its heart of hearts.” - PUNK NEWS.ORG

“Killing California has managed to put together a nearly perfect collection of songs on "Goin' South"! Fast, heavy, mean, loud, in your face & fucking intense! 10 out of 10 for this one.” - AMP MAGAZINE

“Basement Records has done it again! I give to you So-Cal's newest gang of vigilantes out to destroy the "pop world"...Killing California. Gritty...hard...knuckles-up punk rock! Please do what you gotta do and check this band out. If you don't...I will fight you!” - MUTINY ZINE

FEATURED REVIEWS

KILLING CALIFORNIA
"Goin' South"
Holy shit, is this for real? Killing California has managed to put together a nearly perfect collection of songs on "Goin' South"! No pop punk or emo nonsense here, this is Orange County hardcore with some serious balls!! The best comparison for these guys would be Dez-era Black Flag mixed with Zeke & early Neurosis. Fast, heavy, mean, loud, in your face & fucking intense! 10 out of 10 for this one. - AMP MAGAZINE

STRENGTH BEHIND TEARS
"Bridges Between Us"
Hardcore power. Hardcore energy. Hardcore headbanging. Hardcore fuck you to all the assholes out there. WTF am I yakkin' about? It's another assault of heavy audio blows from Basement Records as Strength Behind Tears lets "Bridges Between Us" out of its cage. Behold as a record with the right fuckin' name comes atcha, a CD that explores with no apology the gaps of misunderstanding and subsequent social violence that exist with human beings. Take heed of this band whose name is utterly appropriate - for here is an artist that delves into the realm of anger and pain and angst with a not-backing-down ethos that puts many to shame. Hop in and get your head bashed with some painful observations on our culture via the pounding brainfuck of hard-as-hell musical exploding. - CORAZINE

BULLET TREATMENT
"The Mistake"
The Dischord and SST Records hardcore ethos collide via savage synchronicity on East L.A.-based Bullet Treatment's latest effort. A fabulously furious assault of both East and West Coast punchy punk adolescence, Bullet Treatment isn't just a mere throwback to the halcyon days of circle pits at CBGB. Sporting an experienced roster - including Bronx vocalist Matt Caughthran - and an album that tears through its track listing at a largely blistering pace ("Hand in Hand"), Bullet Treatment proves there's simply no mistake to be found. - MEAN STREET MAGAZINE
