PANDORA - The Music Genome Project.
Pandora is a streeming radio staion
that you can create your own radio stations
with based on a particular artist. For
instance start a radio station with
BULLET TREATMENT, it will then play
artists that are similar such as Black
Flag, Minor Threat, The Bronx, Terror,
Circle Jerks, etc. or you could start
a station with KILLING CALIFORNIA and
similar artists will play such as Zeke,
Motorhead, TSOL, etc. (this isn't limited
to punk, start a station with CREAM,
VAN HALEN, ELVIS PRESLEY, KOOL &
THE GANG or whatever genre you enjoy)
you can even rank each song with a thumbs
up or thumbs down to get tracks from
that artist played more often. It's
a really great site and has changed
the way we listen to music here at the
studio.

There have been a couple new faces around
the rehearsal studios, we've added a
couple new people to help out with the
workload. If you want to get familiarized
with them or want to bust their chops

Some changes have been
goin on around the studios including
some new guitar amps from ROCKTRON,
We now have available the Rocktron
Vendetta Guitar head for use in
our studios. The Vendetta features
a tube pre-amp, reverb, built in
Chromatic Tuner & 160 watts of power.
You really need to see & hear this
amp to fully appreciate it. There's
also some new bass gear provided
by GALLIEN KRUEGER &
BEHRINGER along with the
usual Carvin, Ampeg & Peavy. |

HAPPY NEW YEAR
!
A lot of great things on the horizon,
BASEMENT RECORDS continues to
grow and is becoming quite successful,
our publishing company is doing quite
well too and there should be many new
movie releases and television shows
featuring some Basement Records &
Rehearsals related bands in the coming
months including the new season of ROB
& BIG on MTV.
CONGRATS!
to all the contest winners from our
1st ever Holiday Giveaway, the band
RED CAVALIER won the free recording
time and will be entering the studio
very soon to record their song which
will then be sent to our good friends
at XM radio for a chance to get some
airplay. XM will be changing some of
their shows and formats very soon, which
I don't think they've announced yet
but will be very rewarding for everyone.

Finally Jan.
15th marks the release of our new compilation
series "THE WRONG SIDE OF THE
TRAX" vol. 1, this volume consists
of punk rock bands from everywhere including,
Canada, Florida, Seattle, Finland, Los
Angeles, and all points in between.
We're now taking
submission for vol. 2 which will be
mainly metal/hardcore bands, and vol.
3 which will include indie/experimental
rock bands. Send demo's and press kits
to the address on the contact page.
12-5-07 So
the Holiday contest is in full swing
and a lot of you have submitted your
entry form, if you havent you need to
do so before Christmas, you don't want
to miss out on all the free goodies.

some info our "First Annual
